Exploring Eataly

Teenz In The City had a great time this weekend on our Members' Choice outing to Mario Batali's Eataly in Flatiron. We used google and Moovit to look up the directions to Eataly, and discussed the three suggested travel routes. The group decided on the walking route, as they expressed it would be cheaper as there was no need for a metro-card to just travel a few short blocks and one avenue. While walking, our members were encouraged to use a visual map to guide the walking route, and reference our directional acronym "Never, Eat, Soggy, Waffles" for "North, East, South, West" to help guide us on our route. Upon arrival to Eataly, we were greeted by the delicious smell of fresh gelato. We decided to enjoy lunch at La Pizza & La Pasta which featured two of the best-loved Italian dishes: Napoli-style pizza and al dente pasta. Our members really enjoyed their meals! When the bill arrived, we reviewed how to use the tip calculator app in order to determine an appropriate tip for our waitress and how much each member owed. It was a great outing, and it was really nice to see our members forming new friendships and express excitement of being members of Teenz In The City. We look forward to our scavenger hunt next week!
