Our Middle School boys group had a great time this weekend at Bowlmor Lanes in Times Square! The group first reviewed their travel sheets and discussed two routes to get to Bowlmor. After using the travel app Moovit, the group decided to take one of the routes to Bowlmor and the other route back. We decided to walk South to 28th Street and West to Broadway to take the R train uptown to Times Square. While traveling to the bowling alley, the group discussed their evening plans for the Super Bowl. When we got off the R train, we reviewed our N,E,S,W acronym in order to help us get to Bowlmor.
When we arrived at the bowling alley, the group members used their money management skills to determine what they could buy for lunch. The members engaged in friendly conversation over lunch and a game of bowling. They cheered for the other group members throughout the game and displayed good sportsmanship when the game was over. After our game was finished, we used the Tip Calculator App to determine the price of lunch and bowling. The group used the Moovit app to determine the best travel route home. The members decided to take a different route home and chose the S from Times Square to Grand Central and then switched to the 6 downtown to 28th Street. The boys were all in agreement that this was the fastest route, even if they had to take two trains. It was a really fun outing, and it is so wonderful to see many nice friendships developing in the group. We can’t wait to Bowl mor in the future!
