Irish Outsiders: Tenement Museum Tour
Our middle school girls group learned so much on our Irish Outsiders Tour at the Tenement Museum on the Lower East Side. We decided to take the downtown 6 train after consulting with our Moovit App and got off on Spring Street. While on the train, we talked about what our members did over break and discussed expected behavior at the museum. Due to the nice weather, we used our google maps app to walk about 10 minutes and arrived at the museum with some extra time to explore the museum bookstore. While on the tour, we learned about how one Irish family, the Moore's lived in the 1860s and about their journey to finding employment. The girls asked insightful questions while on tour and represented Teenz In The City very well! After our one hour tour, we went to Rice to Riches and Vive La Crepe for a snack.
