Lower East Side Food Tour 2016

Our High School group had a wonderful time exploring the unique and exciting restaurants on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Our first stop was Kossar's Bialys & Bagels, which was the first bagel shop in New York City, created in 1936. Second, we ventured to Donut Plant and members tried creative flavors such as coffee cake, strawberry, and dulce de leche. Our third stop was Vanessa's Dumpling House, which has been producing delectable dumplings since 1999. Finally, we ended our tour at Economy Candy, the oldest candy store in NYC! It has been open since 1937 and has every type of candy one could imagine. Members worked together to find the address of each restaurant and used google maps to walk from location to location. They used excellent teamwork skills and collaborated well!
