MET Museum: Fashion in an Age of Technology
We were fashionably on time this Sunday as our members explored the Metropolitan Museum's in our new exhibit Fashion in an Age of Technology. Our members' used the Moovit and Google map apps in order to determine the address and directions of the museum. Our members used Google maps walking directions to navigate themselves just a few avenues West to the museum. While at the museum, the girls explored more than 170 ensembles dating from the early 20th century to the present. This clothing ranged from haute couture to ready to wear with prices from famous fashion designer's Prada and Chanel. Our members paid attention to the exquisite detail of the clothing and unique materials. While touring the exhibit the girls were asked to share their favorite piece of clothing overall, an item they would choose to wear, and the most unique item of clothing. The girls all choose the most unique dress to be a black dress created of black drinking draws! It was a great opportunity for members to share their own personal styles and sense of fashion. It was a really fun outing and great way to spend a stormy Sunday.
