Beautiful Day for the Brooklyn Bridge

Teenz members met at our usual meeting spot and decided to take the downtown 6 train (using our Moovit app and Google Maps) to the Brooklyn Bridge stop in order to begin our jaunt over this gorgeous bridge. We welcomed a new member to group this week, and members made sure to make him feel welcome by asking him questions about his interests, hobbies and school life. As we walked over the bridge, we made sure to stay on the pedestrian side of the bridge, rather than the bike lane. After walking over the bridge, members pulled out their Google Maps app to navigate the walking distance to the famous brick oven Grimaldi's Pizza!

Members assessed the money they had in their wallets before making their food orders and decided that the best option would be to split large pizzas together. This allowed members to be money-conscious, also while enjoying the famous pizza!

At the conclusion of lunch, we made our way to the A/C train at High Street and learned this train was not running due to track work. As such, members looked at alternative routes to take, which ended up being the J and finally the 6 train. We learned that weekends also bring track changes, and we must be flexible with our timing and travel routes!
