Singing Waiters at Ellen's Stardust Diner

Last week, Teenz members were excited to return to a favorite destination of theirs, Ellen's Stardust Diner. After meeting at our usual meeting spot, we determined that the best route to our destination would be the uptown R or W train taking us to 49th Street, saving us the trouble of walking from Times Square in the crowds. We used our Google Maps app to walk towards Broadway and set off uptown to hear the singing waiters and waitresses who aspire to become actors on Broadway.

Upon our arrival, we were lucky to avoid the line and get a seat fairly quickly. We had to use our budgeting skills to determine which menu items fell in our personal budgets. Through discussions with group leaders, members were able to determine how much they could spend, while anticipating tip and tax. We also learned there was a $20 minimum per patron to cover the entertainment cost. Members dined on waffle fries, chicken and much more, while clapping and singing along with familiar tunes! Our waiter even performed a solo song and we cheered him on!

On our way back, we discussed our plans for the holiday and what everyone was doing for spring break if they were off the following week. We had such a blast and look forward to returning to Ellen's Stardust Diner in the future!
