Girl Talk, Creativity & Crafts

Our girls group kicked off the 2018 fall semester this weekend with an awesome outing to The Craft Studio on The Upper East Side of Manhattan. The girls group met at our usual meeting spot in Gramercy and we welcomed both new and old friends to group ! We had our returning members take on a leadership role and look up the address of The Craft Studio in order to get the directions. The girls then used Google Maps to determine the best travel route. The girls decided that taking the 6 train uptown to 96th Street and then walking 3 few blocks would be the most effective route. Upon arrival to The Craft Studio, the girls each had to opportunity to select an art project of their choice, while keeping their daily budgets in mind. The girls selected projects including a telephone, ice cream cone and even a unicorn. While the girls diligently worked on their creative projects, they sang along to the music playing and determined that many of them were interested in the same bands and artists. The girls were encouraged to engage each other in friendly reciprocal conversation to get to know each other better. Afterwards, the girls headed a few blocks South for a delicious pizza lunch which was enjoyed by all! The girls had a blast and we will absolutely be going back to The Craft Studio again soon.
