Teenz Night: Laser Tag

This Friday night, the co-ed group met at our usual meeting spot. The teens were very happy to see one another after a long week apart from each other. The teens were excited about going to laser tag. We began our journey by first looking at our Google Maps to see our potential routes. We decided to take the M23 bus to Chelsea Piers, Pier 60. Before getting to the bus, our teens had to walk south to 23rd street. While waiting for the bus, we had to purchase bus tickets with our metro cards. Teens that knew how to purchase the bus tickets, assisted and guided other teens. When we got to pier 60, we walked to Bowlmor Chelsea Piers. At laser tag, the facilitators assisted teens with buying their tickets. Before the game began, the facilitators encouraged the teens to split into teams of 2 (red team and blue team). The facilitators assisted the teens to engage with each other to create a strategy plan to win. While playing laser tag, the teens aided and assisted each other. They showed team work. At the end of the game the Blue team won. The red team commended the blue team’s win and then everyone celebrated with pizza. While eating pizza, the teens engaged in friendly conversations about the different tactics they used throughout the game, their excitement about Candytopia that they will be attending that following Sunday, and about the latest movies that are out now. The night was fun and the teens had a great time connecting with each other.
